What’s in a food parcel?

Our foodbank provides three days of nutritionally balanced, non-perishable food.

Our national charity partner Trussell has worked with nutritionists to ensure food parcels contains sufficient nutrition for at least three days worth of healthy, balanced meals for individuals and families. We rely on food donations from our community to stock our parcels, providing as much variety and nutrition as we can. Please note we do not supply fresh, chilled or frozen foods.

A typical food parcel includes:

  • Cereals/Porridge
  • Soup/Tinned & Packet Ready Meals
  • Pasta/Rice/Grains and Pulses
  • Cooking sauces
  • Tinned proteins
  • Tinned meal components (beans, spaghetti, chickpeas etc.)
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Tinned fruit
  • Hot/Cold drinks
  • Biscuits/Snacks
  • Toiletries/Baby care products

Dietary requirements

We aim to adapt your food parcel to meet your dietary needs, for example, gluten free, halal or vegetarian. When you speak to our friendly volunteer team, please inform them of any dietary requirements and we will do our best to accommodate them.
