Our new drop-in hubs

4th February 2025

Gloucester Foodbank, into our community

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been transitioning our service into a new phase, by opening drop-in parcel collection hubs across Gloucester to meet the need in some of our most in-demand areas.

The reason

We believe it is vitally important to reintroduce a key part of our Foodbank service, the chance to have a chat and offer friendly support over a hot drink & biscuits whilst people wait for their parcel to be packed by our team. We are partnering with key community spaces who share our vision to offer a warm, friendly space for those in need to visit, collect their parcel & be supported during their time of hardship.

Welcome to the team, St Catherines!

We are pleased to announce our newest hub based at St Catharine’s church, London road; open each Wednesday morning from 10am-11:45am. This hub is part of the churches fantastic warm space, where we are accepting both pre-made referrals and a drop-in service for people to pop along, speak to one of our advisers and be issued a voucher for our food parcels if required.

Where else can we be found?

Please find a full list of our hub locations here:

To be referred for one of our emergency food parcels, please call one of the agencies below. If you would like to attend a hub, please tell the referrer when you request your voucher.

Could you be our next hub?

We are currently looking for locations in Gloucester & the surrounding to increase our network of hubs and ensure no-one facing hardship goes hungry in our city. If you have a space you feel would serve our local community well, please contact our management team on [email protected]

Our criteria:

  • A friendly, welcoming space with facilities to make hot drinks and offer seating
  • A few willing volunteers to support the running of the hub (we will provide our own skilled group to support you!)
  • Sufficient space to load in & out 20-30 supermarket crates & park an eSprinter sized van (no cupboards needed, our hubs are a mobile service!)

The key areas we require include Quedgeley, Kingsway, Brockworth, Tredworth & city central.

We cannot wait to hear from you!
