Asda Food Drive May 2024

5,150 meals for Gloucester’s community

We would like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful community champion Faye, and customers of Asda Gloucester Superstore (Bruton Way), for helping us to hold our 3 day food drive on the 16th, 17th, and 20th May.

The numbers

We are so grateful for the kindness and compassion of Asda’s customers. Collectively donating a staggering 2,163kg of essential items including food, toiletries, and baby care products that will support our clients when they need it most.

This donation will support us to provide 5,150 meals in our emergency food parcels.
Alongside stock, we also received £358.75 in cash donations via our donation buckets.

It goes without saying that we could not have achieved this without the dedication of our amazing volunteers. Thank you all for your continued support, you are vital to the running of the Foodbank.
